2026-08-25

Timestamps now follow your site's timezone. lead_first_seen and lead_last_seen were recorded in UTC, which made them awkward to compare against RSForm!'s own submission date. They are now written in the timezone set in Joomla's Global Configuration → Server → Website Time Zone, with the zone spelled out — e.g. 2026-06-19 20:25:30 EDT next to a 20:25:52 submission, instead of 2026-06-20 00:25:30 UTC.
Existing submissions are converted automatically on the first page load after the update, so old and new rows read the same way in the submissions list and CSV exports. The conversion runs once and only rewrites values still marked UTC.
The plugin's own audit table (#__leadtracker_sources) keeps storing UTC in its DATETIME columns, matching Joomla's convention for stored dates.

Last-touch attribution (opt-in): new "Track last touch" plugin setting. When enabled, alongside the existing first-touch fields the plugin records the most recent source before submission into a parallel set of fields — lead_last_source, lead_last_medium, lead_last_campaign, lead_last_referrer, lead_last_landing, lead_last_seen and friends. First-touch tells you who opened the door; last-touch tells you who walked them through it.
Last-touch only updates on a genuine new arrival (UTM link, ad click, external referrer, or direct entry). Browsing between pages of your own site never resets it — a visitor arriving from a newsletter and clicking through to your contact page still shows the newsletter as the last touch.
The new hidden fields are injected into your forms automatically and appear in the RSForm!Pro submissions list, CSV exports and email placeholders (e.g. {lead_last_source:value}) like any other field.
Off by default — nothing changes on existing forms until you switch it on. Last-touch data starts from the moment you enable it; earlier visits are not backfilled.

Nextdoor Ads detection: added ndclid to the paid-click ID table. Visitors clicking Nextdoor sponsored ads now correctly tag as Nextdoor Ads instead of Nextdoor Organic, even when the campaign's utm_medium doesn't match a standard paid value.

Server-side fallback detection: when a submission arrives without any tracking cookies (JS-disabled browser, aggressive privacy settings, bot POSTing the form directly), the plugin now runs the same source-detection logic in PHP against $_GET and HTTP_REFERER. Every submission now records at minimum "Direct" with the landing URL, instead of all-empty rows.
The cookie path is still primary — fallback only fires when zero leadtracker_* cookies are present, so a real first-touch attribution from a return visit is never overwritten by a moment-of-submit detection.

Automatic one-time backfill: on first load after upgrade, the plugin copies every audit-table row into the RSForm! submission_values table when the lead_* fields are missing. Heals any historical submission whose form-side fields didn't get written. Marker-gated so the scan runs only once per site.

Critical fix: reverted the 1.0.5 field NAME rename. RSForm! Pro silently dropped renamed hidden components from submission processing on some forms, leading to missing lead-source data in submissions captured in 1.0.5/1.0.6. Existing sites are migrated back automatically — the audit table #__leadtracker_sources retains all historical data and is the recommended report source.
Field NAMEs are again lead_source, lead_medium, etc. Friendly captions (Source, Medium, Campaign ID, ...) still appear in entry-detail views and CSV exports.

Added Joomla 6 to the supported-platform list (manifest unrestricted; update-server regex extended to (4|5|6).x).
No code changes — existing 1.0.5 already uses Joomla 5+ APIs that carry forward to Joomla 6. PHP 8.1+ required when running on Joomla 6.

Renamed tracking fields from lead_source, lead_medium, etc. to clean Title Case (Source, Medium, Campaign_ID, ...) so RSForm!Pro's submission list column headers are readable.
Automatic migration: existing customers upgrading from 1.0.3/1.0.4 keep all historical submission data — the plugin renames the columns and updates all historical submission rows on first run.
Plugin remains backwards-compatible: forms with the old lead_* hidden inputs in the page HTML still get filled.
